Algebra for kids, taught through their own world

Algebra is where the “why do we need this” question gets loud. Variables feel abstract until they stand for something your kid cares about, like the price of a game, the speed of a skateboard, or the points in a season.

Mathbloom generates an Algebra 1 course around your child, with their interests as the worked examples and their name in the problems.

What Algebra 1 covers

  • Solving linear equations and inequalities, and graphing lines.
  • Functions, slope, and systems of equations.
  • Exponents, polynomials, and factoring.
  • Quadratics, with a first look at statistics.

How the course teaches it

  • Interactive widgets let your kid move a graph or balance an equation instead of only reading about it.
  • Short steps teach each idea, then fresh practice continues until they get three in a row.
  • An optional placement quiz skips what they already know and fills gaps from pre-algebra.
  • A printable worksheet comes with each lesson.

Who it fits

Kids in grade 7 through high school who read on their own, including younger kids ready to move ahead. Younger children who are not yet reading independently are better served elsewhere.

Questions parents ask

Is it a full Algebra 1 course?

Each Mathbloom course is up to 12 lessons of about 20 minutes, with named objectives. When one ends, you can generate the next, and the records tools track what has been covered.

Can homeschoolers get credit records?

Mathbloom prints a progress report, attendance log, scope and sequence, and a transcript with grade and credit lines, built from your child’s real work. Requirements vary, so check your state or umbrella school.

What if my child is behind?

The placement quiz adds a short Foundations lesson for gaps from earlier grades before the Algebra 1 lessons begin.
