Test prep

SAT math prep that teaches before it drills

Most SAT math prep is a pile of practice questions. That works for a student who already knows the material and needs timing practice. It works less well for a student with a few shaky topics underneath.

Mathbloom offers an SAT/ACT prep course generated around your teen. It teaches the underlying topics in short steps, then practices them, so weak spots get fixed rather than just revealed.

What it covers

  • Algebra: linear equations, systems, and quadratics.
  • Problem solving and data analysis: ratios, percents, and reading tables and graphs.
  • Geometry and trigonometry basics.
  • Fresh practice problems with explanations, and review of skills that need another pass.

What it is not

Mathbloom does not promise a score and is not a full simulated test environment. Families often pair it with official practice tests from the test makers for timing and format.

Who it fits

  • Teens with a few topic gaps who want them taught, not just drilled.
  • Homeschool families who want test prep inside their regular math records.
  • Students who tune out of generic question banks but engage when the examples are about their interests.

Questions parents ask

Does Mathbloom guarantee a higher score?

No. Results depend on the student, their starting point, and how much they practice. Mathbloom teaches the math and practices it; it does not promise a score.

Is it for the SAT or the ACT?

The prep course covers the math topics common to both. It is not a full test simulator for either.

When should a student start?

Students who have completed Algebra 1 are a natural fit. Earlier students can start with Algebra 1 or Geometry to build the base first.
