Personalized learning
A personalized math curriculum, built around one child
“Personalized” gets stuck on a lot of math products that are really one fixed course with an adaptive difficulty slider. A personalized math curriculum should change what your child actually sees: the examples, the pace, the starting point, and the practice, while the math underneath stays on real grade-level standards.
Mathbloom generates each course for one child. You tell it their age, the math they need, and a few things they love, and it writes a complete course around them.

What gets personalized
- Interests: their interests become the worked examples, word problems, diagrams, and jokes, with their name woven through.
- Starting point: an optional placement quiz skips skills they already have and adds a short Foundations lesson for any gap from an earlier grade.
- Pace: every answer steers the course. The next lesson opens gentler where a skill is still settling and tightens the ramp when they are sailing.
- Practice: each skill mints fresh problems until they get three in a row, then comes back later for review on a widening schedule.
- Tone: reading level matched to their age, humor matched to their taste, and an optional read-aloud narrator.
What stays standard
The scope and sequence. Every course follows a gap-free sequence on real standards (Common Core aligned for grades 4 through 8, and the standard high-school pathway after that), and every lesson teaches toward named mastery objectives. Personalization changes how the math is taught, never which math gets taught.
Who it is for
- Kids in grade 4 through high school who read on their own.
- Homeschool families who want a complete course plus printable records.
- Parents supplementing school math: shore up a shaky topic or race ahead on a strong one.
- Tutors and co-ops, on the Studio plan, running courses for up to 10 learners.

Questions parents ask
Is a personalized course still aligned to standards?
Yes. The sequence of lessons follows real grade-level standards with named objectives for every lesson. What changes per child is the context, pace, starting point, and practice, not the math that gets covered.
How long is a course?
Up to 12 lessons of about 20 minutes each, plus fresh practice and review. When a course ends, you can generate the next one.
Who writes the lessons?
Courses are generated by AI for your child, following a fixed curriculum outline, then checked so the math stays correct and the examples stay age-appropriate. There is no open chatbot for kids.
What does it cost?
Sample courses are free. The Family plan is $49/mo for up to 3 kids; Studio for tutors and co-ops covers up to 10 learners. Both cancel anytime.
